Enjoy the beach and the sun, but please don’t forget your sun cream or sunscreen. Put it on several times per day if necessary. Skin burns are very common for visitors and are not good for your health.
Seafront waters in Barcelona, like the beaches at Barceloneta and Olympic Village, are not that clean. The sand is fine, but if you want to go for a dip, you would be better off going to Sitges or other villages like Masnou or Sant Pol de Mar.
